Emmanuelle Guilbart

A graduate of EDHEC Grande Ecole (1988) and ESCP’s Master Media (1989), Emmanuelle Guilbart began her career within the Canal+ group in 1990, where she oversaw the launch of Canal+ Poland and became the channel’s Program Director.
In 1996, she joined the Film Division in France, where she helped create Canal+ International Acquisitions, the entity in charge of program acquisitions for the group, and responsible for negotiating output deals with major studios.
In 2002, she was appointed Director of Programs, then Director of Offerings for the Canalsat platform.
In 2005, she was appointed Managing Director of Television at Lagardère Active, where she presided over and managed a portfolio of 10 brands/channels and launched Gulli, the DTT channel for children and families.
In 2010, she joined France Télévisions as Managing Director in charge of programs, overseeing editorial (excluding sports and news), program acquisitions and research for the 5 public service channels.
In 2014, she co-founded and has since co-directed About Premium Content, a mini studio , which produces and distributes fiction, animation and documentary programs worldwide.
Emmanuelle Guilbart was awarded the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in 2010.
Since 2010, she has taught at Sciences Po’s Master’s program in Communication, Media and Creative Enterprises.
She was a member of the Board of the Cité de la Musique, and is currently a member of the Board of Verimatrix and Edhec.
A member of PFDM (Women in Media), she has been mentoring young women in the audiovisual industry for three years.
